About Scott West

avatar-profile

I'm Scott West. I trade futures: ES and NQ mostly, gold and crude when they're worth the trouble. I trade the regular session and the Globex night session, in prop-firm accounts and my own cash account, in small size, with the daily loss limit set in the platform before the first trade.

By profession I'm a data scientist and program evaluator. I measure things for a living, so every trade gets logged, graded and reviewed. I didn't plan to bring work home. It came anyway.

I build my own tools: a pipeline that pulls the gamma exposure (GEX) levels for ES and NQ every day, and scanners that cut a long watchlist down to the few charts worth a look. My screens run Bookmap and TradingView. The levels in this school are the ones I mark for my own trading, delivered the way I use them.

Former United States Marine. That's where the discipline came from, and where most of my hearing went.

Nothing here is financial advice. Trading futures carries a real risk of loss.
